Welcome To Queen Mary
February 24 is our winter activity day for Grade 4-8. Intermediate students will be attending a performance of "Anything Goes" at Adam Scott on Tuesday, February 21. (Please make sure all forms and money are into the office as soon as possible).
Queen Mary is going to be involved in the Peterborough Youth Concussion Study - we had an initial presentation to students on Thursday, and students will be completing their baseline assessments in early March. Forms will be available here on the website.
There have apparently been some issues with magazine subscriptions ordered through our fundraising campaign. Please note that QSP has a 1-800 number, and that subscriptions may continue to be ordered throughout the year. All information is here: Magazines.pdf
Do you have a child with a medical condition that requires a MedicAlert bracelet? Information here on how to access these bracelets without cost: medicalert letter.pdf
There are several sports and clubs underway. Please check the extra-curricular page and the calendar/upcoming events areas for details.
The QM library is now open from 3:30 - 4:00 every day. This is a great opportunity for getting homework done, checking your class webpage, or just grabbing a great book and sharing time with friends. Parents, you're welcome, too - come see what your child is learning.
A few key dates to remember for this year:
PA Days: March 30 (secondary students only), June 8 (elementary students only) and June 29, 2012
Last day of classes - Thursday, June 28, 2012
Queen Mary has signed up for HBC Community Program. The program gathers points and then the school can redeem them for various supplies or gift cards. We will receive 2 000 points just for having the first 50 people sign up. That is 2 000 points for each person.
If you wish to donate some of your points to Queen Mary then you can join at www.hbc.com/school
