At QM we "boomerang" lunch, which means all garbage, and whatever recycling possible, needs to go back home in the lunch bag.
Term Two Learning Goal: Point of View
By June, 2012, students will identify point of view in a variety of cross-curricular (fiction and non-fiction) texts as assessed with CASI question #4.
Success Criteria
We can: * identify the point of view expressed in fiction and non-fiction texts and the media
* point out bias in a point of view
* suggest other perspectives on a point of view, orally and in writing
* explain our own point of view on a topic and respond to others' points of view appropriately

A reminder that the board policy for cell phones is "not out, not on" during instructional time. Some teachers may give permission for students to use apps. for research. I have decided not to allow this as I have had several girls abusing this privilege and using their phones/Ipod apps. for unacceptable purposes. If students have these electronics out during instructional time, they will be taken until the end of the day.
